Windowpane

Windowpane is a check of thin, widely spaced lines crossing on a solid ground, named for the grid of a paned window. It is chiefly a menswear pattern, used on suiting and jacketing where the open spacing keeps it quieter than a dense check. The wide gap between lines is what separates it from the tighter graph check.
